I initiated and led the brand new Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program at North Alabama Medical Center, Florence, AL. I was instrumental in getting the Initial Institutional Accreditation from ACGME and accreditation for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
On June 15, the Mayor of Florence, Mr. Betterton, and the Council members recognized the internal medicine residency program leadership and residents at the City council meeting.
The residency program brings much value to the hospital and community by providing quality and increased primary care access.
