About Dr. Chandra
Dr. Chandra Bondugula is a senior healthcare executive, AI researcher, and global speaker with 25+ years of experience in hospital operations, Graduate Medical Education (GME), health informatics, and value-based care. He has taught artificial intelligence to 3,000+ medical students, educators, and healthcare professionals, and has built 2,500+ AI agents and 60+ AI health assistants.
He is the founding ACGME Designated Institutional Official (DIO) for two GME institutions and chairs the Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC), leading physician training, accreditation, and innovation in medical education.
Dr. Bondugula’s mission is to Create Brilliant Minds in Medicine through AI. He believes integrating artificial intelligence into medical education, dentistry, and healthcare will empower future clinicians to provide safer, smarter, and more compassionate care, ultimately improving global health and longevity.
Dr. Chandra Bondugula is the Founding ACGME Designated Institutional Official (DIO) at WellStone, North Alabama’s largest behavioral healthcare provider. He was instrumental in obtaining ACGME accreditation, paving the way for the psychiatry residency program at WellStone.
Dr. Bondugula serves on the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Alabama Chapter boards, contributing to its mission. ACHE of Alabama, the official state chapter of ACHE, focuses on providing continuing education, networking opportunities, and supporting members in advancing to Fellow status.
As a dedicated volunteer with the Alabama Healthcare Executives Forum, Dr. Bondugula has actively participated in numerous webinars and podcasts hosted by ACHE. Additionally, he has shared his expertise through guest lectures on key healthcare topics, including price transparency, quality, patient safety, and leadership.
